The year is 1996. Life is so money and in direct reflection of the movie “Swingers.” Your lipstick is red, the martinis are dirty and the music is swinging. You have no shortage of dance partners during the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy Show and you wake up barely hungover because you sweated most of the vodka out while dancing to “You & Me & The Bottle Makes 3 Tonight (Baby).” Now, the year is 2020, and the show is going to look a lot different this time around. (Not to mention that former hot guy from Swingers, yes Vince Vaugn, is a pretty big asshole.)
But Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is still rocking the joint with zoot suits and plenty of horns for this “Wild & Swingin’ Holiday Party” at Ruth Eckerd Hall. There will be no dancing with strangers, in fact, there probably won’t be much dancing at all. Masks are required and temperatures will be checked at the door. At least you can still enjoy vamped up renditions of holiday classics without the worry of breaking a hip.
