One of the perks of being a fabulously famous food writer is having tons of various product vendors, food companies and book publishers send you scads of all kinds of great products to try out. Since Im not a fabulously famous food writer (except maybe in my mothers mind), I guess I cant really comment on that. But even so, I do get my fair share of swag.
I don't do many product reviews, mostly because there arent too many products I get pitched that really thrill me. Still, after weeding out the obviously inappropriate, I do end up with some pretty appealing propositions. Chocomize is definitely one of them. Im telling you people, this is one very cool product!
Chocomize is an online company that creates personalized chocolate bars. The company uses only high-quality Belgian dark, milk and white chocolate from Callebaut for their bars. There are over ninety different kinds of fruits, nuts, herbs and candies to choose from, which gives you literally millions of different options. Some of them are pretty obvious, but many are quite unorthodox, like flax seeds, goji berries, mini-chipotles, Pop Rocks, crystallized flowers, beef jerky and Cheerios. And yes, theres even bacon! You just go to their web site and design your own custom chocolate bar with whatever kind of chocolate and add-ins you want. Brilliant! Just brilliant!
