Frank Strunk III is not the type of dude who designs duds for cyberpunk wannabes or snotty industrialites. In fact, you'd be lucky to find the artist working with cloth at all, his preferred materials being sheet metal and flex conduit, the resulting "outfits" a means to express his views about the human body, clothing as armor and female empowerment. His creations are featured alongside those of several other talents — artists and fashion designers alike — in the Dunedin Fine Art Center's Wearable Art Fashion Show 2. On the runway, Strunk, Airi*be, Laura Bond, Liza Berlin, Nancy Cervenka, Carly Champagne, Orianna Kurrus, Aimee Trachtenberg and Marina Williams offer their own take on fashion while works by Maria Saraceno, Monica Naugle, Daniel Mrgan, Ryan Prado, Betsy Orbe Lester, Orianna Kurrus and others are on display in the gallery. Proceeds raised at the event support DFAC's educational programs. Sat., Aug. 5, 8-10 p.m., 1143 Michigan Blvd., Dunedin, $10 general/$35 reserved, 727-298-3322, www.dfac.org.
