We didn't get to note the departure late last year of the Tampa Tribune's arts & theater critic, Amanda Henry, who also pitched in as one of that paper's restaurant reviewers. Now, the word among Trib staffers is that not only is Henry gone, but so is her position. E-limin-ated.
Over at the St. Petersburg Times, the search for a replacement for Chris Sherman, its restaurant critic, continues with a round-robin of reviews from staffers, some of whom (we guess) wouldn't mind the coolest job at any paper â eating yourself to death. Which is why Sherman had to step down. So far, former state editor Tom Scherberger has had a few turns at the plate (pun intended, and, disclosure time, Scherberger was my boss at the Tampa Tribune and a longtime friend), but other "guest critics" will be ahead in the next few weeks.
