Monday, I will be on WMNF (88.5) with Flee during his Sonic Detour program from 4 to 6 p.m. He'll do the first 45-60 minutes, and I get the second hour. "Bonus time for you," Flee writes me in an e-mail, "if you come up with a really bad Beatles cover and/or a comedy selection for the comedy section."
I plan to stick with mostly tunes from this year including a few local selections. Here are a few of the songs I'm considering. Please let me know if you have requests.
"NY Song," Modern Skirts
"Silver and the Age of Opulence," Have Gun, Will Travel
"Please Read the Letter," Robert Plant and Alison Krauss
"Love is a Losing Game," Amy Winehouse
"Catch Hell Blues, " The White Stripes
"Brand New Kind of Actress," Jason Isbell
"Room 100" (live), Ronny Elliott
WHAT ELSE?
