Readers of the Weekly Planet may recall the cover story on this issue. Kansas was the leading state for ID supporters, who wanted to mandate the teaching of their hypothoses about God creating the universe being scientifically proveable as an antidote to science classes teaching evolution.
A pro-ID blog site bemoans the setback, and the pro-evolution Florida Citizens for Science laud the change in command at the Kansas board of education.
