BrickAs we breathlessly await the launch later this month of Tampa Bay's latest faux alt newspaper, Orange from Media General, we tripped across its sister publication, out of the Richmond (Va.) Times-Dispatch — Brick.

Brick launched late last week to provide what Media General (which owns the Tampa Tribune) calls "24 pages of art, music, urban attitude and local flavor." (No American city conjures up the idea of "urban attitude" like the former capital of the confederacy.) "That means covering hip-hop as much as rock'n'roll, jazz as much as pop," its new editor said.

Here is an early blog review of Brick. For now, you have to get a copy in Richmond, as its website is still under construction. Way to launch across all platforms.
