When I posted the famed YouTube clip of Digby doing a simplistic but rather charming solo acoustic rendition of Rihanna's heavily produced pop smash "Umbrella" — along with a press release touting Digby's YouTube-enabled success — the feedback was fierce (22 mostly negative responses at press time). One person called the singer a "little bitch" and another linked to a Wall Street Journal story that claims Digby misled fans by inking a deal with Hollywood Records before posting the YouTube clips. Digby has since scored a hit with "Say It Again," which she co-wrote. The singer/songwriter performs June 9, Orpheum, Ybor City.
