Welcome to On the Radar, where we preview upcoming events to mark your calendars for. The wearable art experience comes back to the Bay in three related exhibitions, all in preparation for the sixth installment of the Dunedin Fine Art Center’s Wearable Art fashion show in August. Mixed media artist Carolina Cleere headlines the show with works in photography, acrylic, and digital media meant to “lure viewers into a narrative world full of allusions, leaving the mind room to explore its own meanings.” The All Dolled Up! show and silent auction follows, where you can bid on mini masterpieces by DFAC artists, who explored their fashionable sides by designing mail art for paper dolls; sales of all work benefit DFAC’s scholarship funds. Rounding out the couture collection is Designing Kiddos, where young artists design duds for the next generation.
