The 2010 Gasparilla Film Festival kicks off spring film festival season on Thursday (see Joe Bardi's CL cover story and interview with fest Prez Chad Moore), but it's not the only game in town. Bay area residents are blessed with several cinema-centric events that are sure to delight the film-fans among us. Here's a rundown of the next few months of film festivals:
GASPARILLA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

Now in its eighth year, Ybor Festival of the Moving Image highlights independent artists and filmmakers. The 2010 festival examines the effects of art on the history of film, and the effects of these films on American culture. Plus, all screenings are $7 (free for the HCC community), making this the most budget-friendly festival in the area.
