After nabbing the title of fastest-rising single on pop radio in four years, Katy Perry's "California Gurls" featuring Snoop Dogg has now set the record for most amount of plays in a week—13,167 to be exact, according to both Nielsen and Mediabase Top 40 airplay charts.
In case the pocket protector's blocking your calculator, that's an average of 92 plays a week, or 13 in ONE DAY, for the typical Nielsen- or Mediabase-tracked pop radio station.
