OK, so we all know the biggest news in the world yesterday involved the addition of some cartoon faces to a website designed to make you argue with strangers. But other stuff occurred, as well:

Florida governor and full-time Montgomery Burns LARPer Rick Scott signed a law banning backyard gun ranges in densely populated areas. Well, I think we all learned something from this, and that something is that people who set up backyard gun ranges in densely populated areas don't have what we call "make-Rick-Scott-care-about-you" amounts of money.

New Tampa's subtly, classically named Freedom High was locked down following a tip that someone had a gun on campus, but no gun was found. You'd think a school called Freedom High would require its students to openly display AR-15s in the cafeteria — oh, wait, sorry, that's Liberty High.

And finally, Walking Dead fan favorite Norman Reedus, who plays Daryl, will be making an appearance among other genre stars at Tampa Comic Con in August. Pro tip: Force yourself to watch Air between now and then and make a place for yourself in the actor's memory by being the only person at the con to bring it up.
