Hours before he was to engage in the 2nd debate of the U.S. Senate general election, Republican Marco Rubio announced that he has raised more than $5 million in the 3rd quarter of this year, and now has over $5.5 million on hand for the final month of his race against independent Charlie Crist and Democrat Kendrick Meek.
Rubio has raised his fundraising totals after each quarter since he got into the race in the spring of 2009. Here's that breakdown:
