Saucy bartender and accomplished Jobsite Theater actor Christen Pettit has tried out playwrighting, and tonight she stages a reading of her of her play, Chapel Perilous, which sounds promising — the plot summary reads like Carl Hiaason and David Lynch's bastard lovechild. In the play, fraternal-twins "dodgy beach bar" owners deal with an impending storm by hosting a karaoke night. "It's a disaster comedy," Petitt says, "featuring sex, drugs, rock 'n' roll, a hurricane, mystical forces of chaos and destruction, poisoned hotdogs … and Ninja Bitch Lady Assassins."
