Starting a movement within the hip-hop community takes relentless sacrifice, drive and determination. Very few artists have what it takes to swim upstream and follow this dream, but a beacon of light resides in the 'Burg with Rival, who's abundant positivity has him rising to the top like cream. After dropping a fresh new video for "The Chase" at the beginning of July, it's easy to see why 2015 LP The Comeback is bumping out of stereos all over the country. Rival has teamed up with the hardest working collective in the Tampa Bay area, Sinister Six ambassador DJ Skeelow and the lyrical assassin known as TDP, to craft an anthem for artists willing to give blood, sweat, and tears as they strive towards something greater than self, while Hotstop Entertainment and Berry Films captured the essence of what it takes to follow your passion even if you feel broken amid a slew of cameos (which includes local emcee Infinite Skillz), shots of the 'Burg and a heartwarming moment with his pregnant girlfriend. (Can you imagine being in your father’s music video in the womb? Now that's love.) Overall, "The Chase" should motivate you to get on the grind and rise up. Overcoming obstacles takes courage, and while the struggle is real, so is the will to seize opportunity and run with it.
