Kevin White concedes in Hillsborough Disrict 3 race :”The people have spoken”

Make no doubt about what people will say in hindsight, Les Miller's victory over Kevin White in Hillsborough County's District 3 Democratic primary is definitely an upset.

When CL covered the race in the pages of our paper earlier this month, we keyed in on upstart Valerie Goddard, who some thought might be the fresh face that could challenge the embattled White, who was elected to the County Commission in 2006.

But after an aide to White charged him with sexual harassment when they traveled to Atlanta, and especially after he was found guilty, the community split, with many citizens angry not only about White's transgression, but also that Hillsborough taxpayers were on the hook to pay for White's legal defense.
