One week of fashion is never enough, but you can get your fix at the Tampa Museum of Art’s 6th annual City: Fashion + Art + Culture runway show on Sat., Sept. 19. Situated in the midst of all the fashion action that will be happening during Tampa Bay's, as well as New York and London’s Fashion Week events, the soiree will showcase must-haves for your wardrobe from featured designer Zang Toi’s Spring 2016 Collection.

Fashion designer Zang, a world-renowned, Malaysian-born artist who has an aesthetic for elegance, glamor and timeless beauty, emerged from a small village to the next big thing in the fashion industry. His 20-year career has led him to being featured in major publications such as Vogue, Vanity Fair, Time, Newsweek, and The New York Times. Hollywood celebrities clamor over him — he has dressed big names like Sharon Stone, Elizabeth Taylor, Farrah Fawcett, Kirstie Alley, Patti LaBelle, Gong Li, Eva Longoria, Fergie and Heather Graham.

The event will include high-end hors d’oeuvres crafted by Eddie V’s Prime Seafood while you watch graceful models whisk down the runway, plus an open bar, wine and champagne, craft beers, desserts, live entertainment, and dancing to keep the party going through the night.

Continuing its mission to supply quality cultural education to students and adults alike (with half of these programs being free of charge), “Proceeds from CITY benefit the Museum’s educational programs. Making the arts accessible to everyone is a priority for the Tampa Museum of Art,” Robin C. Sharp, Museum Trustee and Chair of CITY 2015, says in a recent press statement of the upcoming event.

“CITY has become a signature event for the Museum and the Tampa Bay area,"  added Sharp. "We believe that art and fashion are interconnected. We are so pleased to present our new partner for this event Saks Sarasota. This will be unlike any other CITY event that the Tampa Bay area has experienced.”

Raising more than $116,000 during last year’s event, CITY organizers are hoping to exceed their fundraising efforts this year to put towards not only their educational programs, but also to fund bigger and better museum exhibitions in the future.
