American Stage’s June After Hours Series includes next Monday's Prelude to Pride: Sixth Annual Night of Alternative Theatre, presented by The Suncoast AIDS Theatre Project. This year’s departure from the mainstream is Del Shores’ Sordid Lives (starring Joey Panek, pictured).
The dark dramedy explores the dynamic dysfunctions of a Southern-fried Bible Belt family that reunites after Grandma Peggy’s untimely departure — that is, she died tripping over her lover’s wooden legs. Proceeds from the show benefit the Metro Wellness and Community Center.
