Compass Grille, the Sirata Beach Resort's reimagined contemporary American eatery, will host its grand reopening celebration from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday.
Happy-hour pricing and a buy one entree, get one free deal will be offered throughout the evening.
At 5300 Gulf Blvd., Compass Grille received a remodel. And with it, a new quintet of menus followed, ranging from breakfast to small plates. The restaurant's "looking to provide a fresh culinary experience," according to a news release.
Items like duck bacon and corn wontons, center-cut pork chop and tequila-citrus jerk chicken are showcased, as well as seafood dishes with local Gulf grouper and scallops.
Though loaded wine racks greet guests as they enter the restaurant, cocktails and locally brewed beers from Florida Avenue Brewing Co., Cigar City Brewing and 3 Daughters Brewing are also on hand.
"We decided that we need to branch out and get a little more of the local flare and local flavors in here," said chef Rocko Colton in the release.
Colton's heading the kitchen alongside executive chef Jimmy Christiano.
