House Republicans dropped their push for an anti-abortion bill that basically would’ve sent frightened, newly pregnant women back in time about 40 years. The change of heart (HA!) has been attributed to statistics that show young people almost never have to sit at a dinner table with their elders after MLK Day, and explain why they do what they do.
And finally, just to give a final twist of the knife,
the wife of the local children's performer who
was arrested for child porn the other day is “struggling to understand.” I had a really cruel, cutting punchline for this, but you know what? Let’s give her a break. Let’s just hug one another and take solace in our humanity and pre-emptively divorce our partners with that weird proclivity towards youth photography that we’ve overlooked for too long, now, okay?
