Portillo's chocolate cake could be headed to your doorstep this holiday season.
A new addition to the restaurant brand's Shop & Ship offerings, the DIY Famous Chocolate Cake Kit features two pre-baked chocolate cake layers, frosting and a spatula, allowing Portillo's diehards to make the dreamy item in their own kitchens.
Diners near and far can also land the chocolate cake, along with other iconic Portillo's dishes, without leaving the house through a subscription service called Portillo's 365. Almost like it was made for gift-giving, the new nationwide service, which costs $365 or $1 a day, sends a featured menu item to subscribers every other month. January has a deluxe package of Italian beef sandwiches in store, March's shipment will offer a 10-pack of Chicago-style dogs, and on and on.
