The conversation about Asian cultural appropriation of hip-hop is headed to Ybor City (hold on, you haven’t been having the conversation?).

That’s right, a year after his video for “Dat $tick” made him an internet meme/sensation, gravelly throated Indonesia-raised rapper Rich Chigga (real name Brian Imanuel) is bringing his 28-date “Come To My Party Tour” to Orpheum on October 24.

Openers and ticket prices/onsale dates have yet to be announced, but it’s a good chance to see the Jakarta-born Chinese emcee up close and personal-like.

Chigga, who lives in L.A. due to anti-Chinese sentiment in Jakarta, has already expressed regret about his stage name, and recently told The New Yorker that he’d like to be taken seriously as a rapper. "This is my fucking guy." Ghostface said in this video. "That's dope. I like that."

Chigga has also played Miami’s Rolling Loud this spring, so there you go.
