Some notable shows are taking place on this Tue., Jan. 19. Take a look at the breakdown below.

The Steepwater Band Hailing from Chicago and delivering material rooted in that city’s searing guitar-blues sound, The Steepwater Band has been together long enough to put out a best-of retrospective (last year’s Diamond Days) and on Halloween, paid their dues to their classic rock influences (and took a page from the Phish playbill) with a full album performance of The Rolling Stones’ live album, Get Yer Ya-Yas Out. It was so well received, the big riffing and stomping quartet is taking the show on the road, playing the entirety of the album in addition to select original material. According to bassist Tod Bowers, “We thought this could be something fun to do this winter until the new record drops in the spring.” (Ale And The Witch, St. Petersburg)

Jackson Browne Last time he hit town, folk-rock singer-songwriter Jackson Browne was supported by a full band and touring behind 2014 studio LP, Standing in the Breach. This time around, he rolls through Clearwater on a series of solo acoustic dates, culling from his 14-album repertoire of warm, literate classics that include “Running on Empty,” “Doctor My Eyes” and “The Pretender.” Get your tickets now; this show will sell out. (Ruth Eckerd Hall, Clearwater)

Grant-Lee Phillips & Steve Poltz
A Tuesday night stand featuring a pair of roots-spinning singer-songwriters. Phillips re-located from L.A. to Nashville in 2013 and is gearing up to release a new album, The Narrows, inspired by the stories and history of his new home along with personal reflections on his life between 2012’s Walking in the Green Corn and now. Poltz was born in Canada, raised in SoCal (currently based in San Diego), and has been churning out tunes since the ‘90s; his claim to fame came after co-writing “You Were Meant for Me” with then-girlfriend Jewel, though he has plenty of other tunes that includes material he wrote fronting The Rugburns. (The Hideaway Café & Recording Studio, St. Petersburg)
