As far as satirical fast food-themed metal tributes go, Tampa/St. Pete doesn’t land a lot of them. It’s rumored that LA-based McDonald’s-themed Black Sabbath tribute Mac Sabbath tends to lay low due to the sensitivities of the fast food giant’s legal team, yet, somehow, Nick Marcisin was able to bring them to Local 662 last March for a gut-busting ruckus of a show. Giant inflatable hamburgers bounced through the crowd as singer “Ronald Osbourne” and the band (featuring “Slayer McCheese,” hamburger head and all, on guitar) belted out a setlist featuring songs like “Frying Pan” (a parody of “Iron Man”). We still don’t know how bassist “Grimalice” was able to thump so precisely while clad in a purple Grimace costume. facebook.com/TheLocal662. —Kate Bradshaw
