Pei Wei, the Asian-inspired, fast-casual restaurant brand, released the grand opening date for its second St. Petersburg location: Monday.
The celebration will kick off with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10:45 a.m. T-shirt giveaways, gift card raffles and free food samples will continue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
According to chief marketing officer Clay Dover, Pei Wei — which owns and operates 200-plus eateries in 25 states and DC — is excited to bring another concept to St. Pete.
"St. Petersburg has been a great market for Pei Wei, and one we've always been proud to serve," Dover said in a statement. "We're looking forward to providing high quality fresh flavors to our new guests."
The new location at 1345 Fourth St. N. will serve made-to-order dishes with flavorful ingredients. The varied lineup includes lighter options like the mango California roll and gluten-free spicy chicken salad, along with "wok classics" such as the Mongolian. The restaurant also allows any dish to be customized.
Whether dining in or ordering takeout, patrons will find an open kitchen, plus the vibrant, modern design style seen at the brand's other restaurants.
The restaurant plans to operate 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
