Brighter days are before us, because pop-punk outfit Meet Me At The Altar (stylized “Meet Me @ The Altar”) is kicking off a brand-new era in January with a semi-homecoming gig to push its upcoming EP Worried Sick.

For reasons beyond the new release, it’s been a bit of a year for the girls, too. Newly-married guitarist Téa Campbell (the band’s founding Florida representative) parted ways with vocalist Edith Victoria and drummer Ada Juarez in the spring, and as it turns out, the remaining members are no longer signed to Fueled By Ramen.

“Worried Sick,” which has some resentful lyrics that hopefully aren’t tied to Edith and Ada’s old friend, will be their first release on the far-more indie LAB Records, and before hearing the majority of it live, the likes of local alt-rock favorites Peace Cult, Kitty Kitty Meow Meow, and NowInColor play support.

Tickets to Grrls Night at Ybor City’s Crowbar on Friday, Jan. 23 are still available and cost $28.03.
