Enjoy the glow of that “hot now” light while you can St. Petersburg, because the only Krispy Kreme in town is closing soon.

Located at 9100 4th St. S as part of a Village Inn, Taco Bell and Culver’s quadrumvirate, the shop will soon be replaced by a Chipotle “Chipotlane” drive-thru, according to St. Pete Rising which said construction should start in March.

Somehow, the location was the only Krispy Kreme in Pinellas County, and one of just four in the Tampa Bay area alongside two shops in Tampa and one in Brandon.

The Bay area’s first “Chipotlane” opened in 2022, because is there even a point to getting out of your car, and burning a few calories walking through a parking lot to retrieve a burrito bowl?
