Busch Gardens says they will be closing all of their theme parks, including their Tampa location in an effort to limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay said it will close on Monday, March 16. The closure will last through the end of the month.

"During this time essential personnel, including animal care experts, will continue to look after the health, safety and nutritional needs of the animals in our care," reads the statement. "Our animal rescue and rehabilitation operations will also continue to operate."

So far, every major theme park in Florida has now closed due to concerns over COVID-19. Yesterday, Universal Orlando and Disney World announced they would temporarily close, and this afternoon SeaWorld Orlando was added to this list.
