Does that look like a photograph to you? Yep, it looked like one to us, too — until we took a closer look. What you're seeing is an impressionist painting. Attention, non-artsy types: not all impressionists paint water lilies. Shocker, we know. But look at how magnificent this cityscape painting is.
That's Stephen Brook, and art aficionado and gallery owner Leslie Curran will unveil his new paintings — they're all impressionist takes on epochal urban scenes. In Metropolis, his work will blend with David David Figueroa, a Florida artist whose metal abstract sculptures also suggests street scenes.
Think of it as a multi-dimensional, multimedia art exhibit.
