Downtown Tampa went two whole years without spilling green dye into the Hillsborough River, but that ends in a few weeks.

This morning, the City of Tampa announced that the annual River O’ Green will return to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park on March 12.

The free family-friendly event will run from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and feature live entertainment, food trucks, beer, and activities for the kiddos.

The Irish-themed party is put on in conjunction with the Downtown Partnership, and has been a staple for Tampa since the Bob Buckhorn era, but was put on ice due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

More details about bands, dining and other details will be updated shortly on the event’s website
