ALDS preview: Rays vs. Rangers

Postseason baseball is here, Rays fans! Let’s take a look at the upcoming American League Divisional Series between you’re A.L. East champion Tampa Bay Rays and the West-winning Texas Rangers.

It all starts at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at Tropicana Field. Fans will see a rematch of one of this season's larger-than-life lefty tilts as David Price (19-6, 2.72 ERA) faces off against Cliff Lee (12-9, 3.18). You may recall the first meeting turned out to be less prolific than the fabled Price-Sabathia games; on Aug.16, the Rays tuned up Lee for six runs in the seventh inning. TBay won that game 6-4 and I think we’ve all gotten over the Cliff Lee factor these days; the Rays went on to sweep the three-game series. In the last month of baseball, the Rays were 15-15 and the Rangers 16-14. They only saw each other six times, giving the Rays a 4-2 margin for the regular season series.
