Yes, you read that right. Britian's Royal Opera is planning to adapt the life and times of Anna Nicole Smith. Per Variety:

The company says the show will have music by respected British composer Mark-Anthony Turnage. The libretto is by Richard Thomas, co-creator of "Jerry Springer: The Opera," an earlier merger of highbrow and lowbrow culture. It is due to run in the Royal Opera's 2011 season.

Many questons remain: Can the producers find a female opera singer who can pull of this role? What kind of special effects will be required to get the star to repeatedly gain and lose 100 lbs. during the show? Is Kato Kaelin available to play Larry Birkhead?
