The poster design contest for the St. Petersburg festival carries a $500 purse, but ya gotta enter by March 15 to win.

SunLit is nigh, and organizers at literary org Keep St. Pete Lit want artists who think they can put a kick-ass poster design together to submit their design. The successful designer will earn $500.

The idea behind the poster? "To create an iconic design that celebrates the vibrancy of Florida’s literary scene," KSPL head honcho (honcha?) Maureen McDole wrote in an email. You must be a Florida resident to enter

SunLit starts Apr. 11 and ends on Apr. 28.

Artists, submit your design via email by 5 p.m. on March 15. You can submit up to two designs, although that means you have to send two separate emails. Anything you submit on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter or semaphore will not be accepted. They won't accept shared entries, either.

The design can be horizontal or vertical, but it has to be high-resolution and scalable to 8.5" x 11"; you can use the SunLit logo but nothing else copyrighted. They have more rules; you can read 'em here

Need more info? Contact McDole via email or at 727-798-4530.
