Artsqueeze Weekend Roundup, May 29-31

7-9 p.m. – Opening reception for Cash Only, a solo exhibition of ceramic works by Jamieson Cash, at St. Petersburg Clay Co.


7-10 p.m. – Bejeweled: Dali, Catalonia’s Gem, 8th annual martini tasting and silent auction featuring 20 Bay area artists, at Albert Whitted Airport Terminal.


8 p.m.-midnight – Pride and Passion, the Tampa Museum of Art’s annual celebration of gay pride and contemporary art, at Rivergate Tower.


10 p.m.-2 a.m. – Sweetberry Sampled, a Pride and Passion after-party featuring performances by Kalup Linzy and Santiago Echeverry, at Czar. Music by DJs Fuego & Vertigo; visual stimuli by VJ Robb Fladry. (Full disclosure: I'm a member of the group that organized this event.)


Saturday


10 a.m.-2 p.m. – Artists’ talk for Paper: Off and On the Wall with Brad Erickson of Grand Central Stained Glass and Graphics and local artists Bluelucy, Anthony Zollo, and Janeen Salzgerber at Florida Craftsmen.


7 p.m.-midnight – La Di Da art show, featuring more than 75 local artists and vendors and performances by Mainstream, Shane Meade & the Sound, Bella Danza, Kinetic Dance Group, The Lindy Bombers, Melissa Oraath and more, at the Ritz Ybor.


Sunday


10 a.m.-2 p.m. – yART Sale, hosted by St. Pete Craft Heroes, at the corner of 9th Avenue N. and 5th Street, St. Petersburg.

5-7 p.m. – Opening reception for Re-Art, an exhibition of artworks made from repurposed objects by Dee Hood, Sheryl Haler, Kevin Dean, Gwen Fryer, Polly Holt, Rose Marie Prins and Peter Rampson, at ArtCenter Manatee.
