Dear Dream Momma, I never ride the bus but in this dream I'm sitting in a bus in the middle on the right hand side. There's two passengers sitting in front of me, one is an elderly lady. A few rows behind me is a woman. On the left side behind me is a man. A man enters the bus (I think its my ex-boyfriend). He's escaping some people who are after him. He sits across from me on the left side of bus. He's relieved he got away. I look at his head something had fallen on his head just before entering the bus…looks like several large flakes of dandruff. He notices it too.
The “dandruff” is going into his head. He runs off the bus, realizing the people after him dropped this stuff on his head and it’s going to kill him. He reaches into his pocket and takes out this little medicine bottle and drinks it, but it’s too late and he's going to die. Suddenly he takes a gun from his right hip and shoots himself through the mouth. The bullet tears through his skull, penetrating the bus window and killing the elderly lady.
I quickly move over to the left side where he was sitting but then quickly moved back to my original seat just in time to avoid the bullet hitting that seat. The bullet then bounces to the rear hitting the male passenger behind me in his hand. Then I wake up.”
Dear Bus Rider. Remember that everything in a dream is symbolic, not literal; Dream Momma sees a lot of family dynamics in your dream. Usually when someone is on a bus it indicates some type of collective group. Family, co-workers, fellow students, etc. Because we have a grandma, a mom, a dad and an uncle/brother I suspect this dream is about how your family and your ex-boyfriend really felt about each other. Dream Momma also suspects the people trying to kill him represent the community Greek chorus (observers and moral interpreters) who clearly disapproved of this guy with an infection (dandruff) in (not on) his head. So ask yourself BR, what was wrong with your ex’s thinking? It’s also interesting how he self-medicates and symbolically kills himself. Dream Momma wonders if he was a verbally abusive addict. She suspects he was. The dream indicates your family and community disapproved of this guy and he became dangerous (either psychologically or physically) to you. Dodging this bullet (being with him) is a good metaphor for how you survived this relationship. Good for you!
