Auditions for three upcoming Tampa Bay productions

If you’ve been looking for an opportunity to bust out your acting chops, have no fear. Three local theaters are holding auditions for summer plays.

Tampa’s m.a.d. Theatre is holding an open audition for Paul Rudnick’s The Most Fabulous Story Ever Told, directed by Clareann Despain. The theatre’s first non-musical play will be performed in June at the Shimberg Playhouse. Auditions will be held Sunday, April 6 at 6 p.m. and Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at 711 E. Henderson Ave. For more information, head to madtheatre.com.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center’s resident theatre company, MAS Community Theatre, is bringing Sweet Charity to Tampa in July. Auditions will be held on Sunday, April 6, at 4 p.m. and Monday, April 7, at 7 p.m. at 4537 Lowell Road in Tampa. For more information, visit CarrollwoodCenter.org or call 813-269-1310.

Venue Theatre is looking for two experienced actors in their 60’s to perform in A Bench in the Sun by Ron Clark. Casting will be held at 9125 U.S. 19 N at the intersection of Mainlands Boulevard in Pinellas Park on Sunday, April 6, at 6 p.m. If you can’t make the audition, call producer Frank Kronyak at 727-563-6009 for an alternative audition on Tuesday, April 8.
