From left, Lucas Wells and Rachel Potter in freeFall’s Spring Awakening.

This wonderful freeFall Theatre production, dynamically directed by Eric Davis, brought us a kinetic world of adolescents, brimming with sexual energy and trying to make sense of a world that wouldn’t explain their feelings to them. Wendla (St. Pete native Rachel Potter), Melchior (Chase Peacock), and Moritz (Lucas Wells) were touching in their attempts to break through adult censorship, and the whole cast was so utterly professional, we might have been watching the show at Lincoln Center. 6099 Central Ave., St Petersburg, 727-498-5205, freefalltheatre.com.
