Best of the Bay 2009: Julie Rowe wins a double

Eric Davis, Readers' Poll Best Actor, whose freeFall Theater Company also won the critic's award for Best Play for its smash-hit inaugural production of The Wild Party; and Critic's Pick Best Actor to Richard Coppinger for his performance in StageWorks' Shining City. Coppinger was the Readers' Poll Best Actor winner in 2008.

Isn't it nice when the readers and critics agree?

Last night, Julie Rowe (right) won the Best Local Actress award in Creative Loafing's 2009 Readers' Poll (repeating her win from last year).  She also won the Best Actress award from theater critic Mark E. Leib. Bittersweet, perhaps, since she's just begun a new job in Jupiter, FL, which means we won't be seeing her as much around here, but much deserved.
