As an events writer, I’m constantly amazed by the number of quality, forward-thinking shows presented every month at the Studio@620. From modern dance to adult proms, the highly functional Studio@620 delivers highbrow with low-brow fun — even during the so-called slow season, which saw Friday recreational happenings, an international film festival and performances by A Simple Theatre. Throw in some visual arts installations and exceptional live music, too. Oh, and let’s not forget artist Dan Lasata’s vivid new mural on its exterior wall. … Whew.
