In August 2015 Ocean Geographic and principal team Dr. Sylvia Earle, David Doubilet, Jennifer Hayes, Ernie Brooks, Michael AW, Göran Ehlmé, Amos Nachoum and Leandro Blanco will lead Elysium – Artists for the Arctic, a mission to capture idyllic scenes in the Arctic, creating an exquisite book, film and exhibitions in eight major cities.

The project gathers prominent artists to capture the landscapes, creatures,  flora and fauna of the northern polar region — a perspective never seen.  Among them: National Geographic photographer David Doubilet, who has produced nearly 70 stories for the magazine since 1971. Alex Rose is the Science Editor and a writer for Ocean Geographic magazine and is the Assistant Project Manager for 2015 Arctic expedition: Elysium-Artists for the Arctic.

Friday, Nov. 7, at 1 p.m. Museum of Fine Arts, Marley Room, 255 Beach Drive N.E., St. Petersburg. Click here for tickets.
