Boom by the Bay is back, and this yearโ€™s 4th of July boat parade is dedicated to the troops.

For the theme โ€œSalute to Service,โ€ the boats floating along the Riverwalk will be decked out in red, white and blue for veterans and servicemembers. The city will also award a prize to the โ€œMost Patriotic Boat.โ€ There will also be a water ski show at Sparkman Wharf and Jacksonโ€™s Bistro.

Registration is required to participate in the boat parade. Thereโ€™s no cover to watch the show on the Riverwalk, but VIP tickets are available for the water ski show, parade and fireworks with indoor and outdoor seating, drinks and food.

FYI, Outside chairs and coolers arenโ€™t allowed.

Julian B. Lane Park wonโ€™t host vendors or activities this year, but Armature Works and Sparkman Wharf will have food vendors, live country and EDM music, and a hot dog eating contest.

Festivities begin at 4 p.m. and end after the fireworks around 10 p.m.

There is no cover for Boom by the Bay happening Friday, July 4 in Downtown Tampa.
