The ride features twin dueling arms that swing to speeds of 68 mph, and reach as high as 135 feet above the ground. According to the park, each swinging arm has two gondolas, where up to 20 guests sit back-to-back in two rows. In total, the new thrill ride can host 40 guests at a time.
“Serengeti Flyer’s thrilling ride experience is bound to provide riders with a pulse-pounding encounter that can only be found at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay,” said Park President of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay Neal Thurman in a statement.
Manufactured by S&S Worldwide, the ride is technically called a “Screamin Swing,” and is the second of its kind purchased by the park’s parent company SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment. In 2019, Busch Gardens Williamsburg installed a similar attraction called the "Finnegan's Flyer."
Pass Members will actually be able to get a sneak peek of the ride during an exclusive preview on Feb. 24.
