FLORIDA FISH AND WILDLIFE CONSERVATION COMMISSIONS

Tell the kids to put all smart devices away, for an hour at least, during part two of the Natural History Speaker Series: The Natural History of Florida. If you missed part one, the program discussed Florida’s fossil records and early humans’ impact on the state. Part two’s presentation digs into the early history of Florida, including the first human inhabitants and the development of the Sunshine State over the centuries. Smells a little like a climate change seminar. Take notes.

Tues. Dec. 10, 7 p.m.- 8 p.m. Free. St. Petersburg Parks & Recreation, 1400 19th St. N., St. Petersburg. 7 p.m.-8 p.m. INFO.
