Craftsman House St. Petersburg welcomes musicians, listeners to ‘Play Music on the Porch Day’

But you can still partake from home.

Los Angeles artist Brian Mallman has a TEDx talk about his work (because, can you even be taken seriously if you’ve never worn a hands-free mic and clickered through a presentation before?).

One of his best ideas, however, manifests itself all over the world on August 31 when everyone, including non-musicians, heads outside and makes noise as part of Play Music On The Porch Day. All you literally have to do to partake is go outside and play music (#playmusicontheporchday if you’re showing off), and Craftsman House Gallery in St. Petersburg is opening its gorgeous porch up to musicians from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. — music lovers are encouraged to come by for a listen.

Sat. Aug. 31, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. No cover. Craftsman House Gallery, St. Petersburg. craftsmanhousegallery.com.
