If you were planning on submitting an entry to Creative Loafing's Writing Contest this year, you'd better turn on the creative juices: The deadline for submissions is Thursday, Feb. 23, at 5 p.m.

You'll find more info at cltampa.com/writingcontest, or go directly to the entry form.

The theme is orange, and as always you can take the theme in any direction you like. Two of Tampa Bay's best writers — Peter Meinke and Gloria Muñoz — will choose the winners of the judge's prizes, and readers will get to vote on their favorite story and poem at cltampa.com/writingcontest from Feb. 24-March 3. Judges' and readers' winners will be announced at a public reading at on Wednesday, March 15, and published in CL's Fiction Issue on March 16.

We promise not to ask, "Orange you glad?" when we inform the winners.
