It’s Best of the Bay season, and tickets are on sale for the grand finale BOTB awards party happening on Thursday, Sept. 30 from 7 p.m.-10 p.m. at Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino’s Hard Rock Event Center in Tampa.

Voting for the best local people, places, food and drink, arts, entertainment, goods, and services begins at noon Thursday, Aug. 19 and ends at midnight Thursday, Sept. 9—winners will be announced in the annual BOTB issue released early at the party and on stands everywhere Oct. 1.

Anyone can attend the BOTB awards soiree—located at 5223 Orient Rd. just off Interstate-4 near the Florida State Fairgrounds—and admission includes food and drink samples from the area's best restaurants plus vendors and live entertainment.

A VIP ticket ($75, with prices increasing as the party gets closer) gets you early admission, four complimentary drinks, and some awesome swag. General Admission tickets cost $25 until Aug. 19, but increase incrementally until the day of the party when they’re $70 at the door.

Advanced tickets are recommended because capacity is limited, because of the ongoing pandemic. Buying a ticket implies that you are vaccinated or will be by the date of the party. If you are not vaccinated, “you understand the risks associated with attending an event and not being vaccinated.” Masks are recommended for everyone, and we’re following Hard Rock’s “Good, Clean, Fun” plan as it evolves in the coming weeks.
