Damon Wayans Sr. and Damon Wayans Jr. to headline Hard Rock


You don't get a better apple of a daddy's eye than Damon Wayans' Jr. He and his famous pop, Damon Wayans Sr., will interrupt local holiday festivities to bring their stand-up show to the Hard Rock Cafe in Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tampa on Sat., Dec. 13, at 6 and 9 p.m.


Tickets are priced at $50 per person for the the father-son cabaret and will go on sale via Ticketmaster.com beginning Mon., Nov. 17; 21 and older only will be admitted.

Many remember Wayans best from his stint on the sketch late-night show In Living Color from 1990 to '92 ("Homey don't play dat!"). The versatile stand-up comedian, actor, writer and producer has starred in a number of films and television shows, some of which he co-produced or co-wrote including The Last Boy Scout, Major Payne and the sitcom My Wife and Kids.

Wayans Jr., the eldest of Wayans' brood, is also an accomplished stand-up comedian,  known for starring as Brad Williams in the ABC comedy series Happy Endings and as Coach in the Fox comedy series New Girl.

The Wayans' comedy show will be part of a weekend celebration at the property for the opening of its new High Limit Slots room, the remodeled Rock Spa and the new Hard Rock Girls Blackjack Pit area.
