Established in 2004 and signed by Epitaph Records in 2006, Long Beach, Californias I Am Ghost were rockin the gothic rock sound until the departure of vocalist/violinist Kerith Telestai and husband/bassist/keyboardist Brian in 2007 due to creative differences. With the addition of bass player/vocalist Ron Ficarro, and without violin, keys and a female vocalist, the band headed into darker post-hardcore and screamo territory with 2008s Those We Leave Behind.
