Tonight's Tampa Bay Symphony program features the opus' of the great Russian masters, with Christine Hartley's performance of Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 as the crown jewel of the evening. Also performed under the steady baton of conductor Jack Heller is Tchaikovsky's March Slave, Shostakovich's Festival Overture and Rimsky-Korsakov’s Tsar Saltan Suite. USF makes it worth the trek to north Tampa this week with an array of interesting events. First, PostSecret Project creator Frank Warren hosts this month’s University Lecture Series. His call for postcards anonymously revealing secrets—from silly to somber—created catharsis on an international scale when published as a book series. Maybe you want to hear what inspired the project; maybe you want to share a secret that’s been weighing you down; but if you’re like most people (including me), you’ll be there to hear some crazy shit as people step up to the mic for their own mini share-sessions.
