Do This: Go BIG! or go home

Larger-than-life art.

Hey, in case you didn't notice, St. Pete's kind of in love with murals. They're sort of everywhere. Want to meet some of the artists? Tampa Bay area artists Jenipher Chandley, Derek Donnelly, Yhali Ilan, James Oleson, Zulu Painter and others will gather at Bloom Art Center for Go BIG!, an exhibit celebrating won't-fit-on-a-gallery-wall types of art — known most everywhere as murals but in DTSP, we like to call that "Tuesday." These artists don't confine themselves to St. Pete, either: You can find Zulu Painter's murals (as seen here) in Miami, Pinellas Park and, of course, at Bloom. This opening reception, part of the SHINE mural party that's consuming downtown St. Pete and neighboring communities, features music from DJ Blenda, t-shirt printing and a donation bar.
